Agricultural Research Division; In Yezin, the Seed Banking Division has been cooperating with the International Rice Research Institute since 1973 in collecting paddy varieties. In 1997, with the support of the Government of Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Seed Bank Project Technical Cooperation Program was implemented. Following the expansion of the Department of Agricultural Research, the Seed Banking Division continues to conduct the following research activities:

Ongoing Research

1. Search for crop genes; Collection and submission,

2. Recording qualifications; Reproduction and transplantation of new blood.

3. Pre-breeding research and evaluation.

4. Crop variety Storage in medium refrigeration.

5. Data retention and management.
